Essie Claire Winston is a Lighting  Designer and Programmer,  originally from Kansas City.  They have had the pleasure of working across many aspects of live entertainment, including Theatre, Dance, and Opera at world-class organizations such as Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Barrington Stage Company, The Santa Fe Opera, and The San Fransisco Opera. Essie has designed in Mid West at companies The Black Rep, Pack Dance, and Webster Dance. 

 

 They were a 2026 Binkley Fellowship Finalist and recipient of the 2025 Fred Foster Mentorship Program.

When they are not behind the Tech Table, Essie loves to be traveling, on a hike, or baking a batch of brown butter chocolate chip cookies.
